Who are Realtors in the US?

A Realtor or Realtors is a member of the National Association of Realtors. Only about half of the real estate agents in the United States today are Realtors. Realtors have a very strict code of ethics regarding their treatment of clients, whether they be sellers or buyers of real estate. A Realtor will have the Realtor logo on their office or business card. Members of the national organization will join local associations of Realtor(s) in order to exchange information and network among themselves in order to increase the number of professional contacts. This makes it much easier to give and receive information about properties for sale and help properties to be quickly sold. The ability to find real estate agents is also simplified given a Realtor brings added credibility to the table whether you plan on buying or selling a home. The website of National Association of Realtors has more information for Realtors.
