How to Opt Out of DoubleClick

Opt out of DoubleClick tracking if you don’t want DoubleClick to track the whites you visit and cookie you to serve relevant advertising. DoubleClick is part of Google and Google uses DoubleClick tracking to serve intent based ads to users who visit websites that have Google ads enabled. 1. Navigate to the DoubleClick Cookie Opt-out plugin page [see link below]
2. Note that once you download and install the plugin, you need to install the plugin for all the Internet browsers you use to effectively opt out of DoubleClick. Install the plugin and Google will ensure you opt out of DoubleClick targeting. Note that you will still see Google ads, but they won’t use any targeting metrics to render relevant ads.

The way Google accumulates this information is through the DoubleClick tracking cookie that are part of Google products. Google will drop a cookie on a user when they visit relevant Google powered websites and Google will use this cookie to learn more about the user and show them relevant advertising.
